Bobby Nasution’s camp responded to the suggestion made by Democratic Party politician Jansen Sitindaon that a member of Bobby’s winning team was an ex-convict for corruption. Bobby’s camp said that on the winning team, Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi was also an ex-con.
“Yes, we have never interfered with the Aman (Akhyar-Salman) team, although the case was even more sinister there. From our observation in the Aman team there was a leader who was an ex-convict anarchist Protap demonstration (Tapanuli province) who sacrificed the late Aziz Angkat at that time, namely Gelmok Samosir, “said on Tuesday (9/22/2020) the spokesman for Bobby Nasution’s winning team, Sugiat Santoso.
Gelmok is known to have been convicted in a demonstration case that sparked riots that resulted in the death of North Sumatran DPRD President Aziz Angkat in 2009. Aziz Angkat allegedly suffered a heart attack after being beaten by a mass of protesters who at that time they requested to form a Protap.
Returning to Sugiat, he admitted that he was surprised Gelmok was included in Aman’s winning team. He wondered if Aman’s winning team hadn’t considered Gelmok’s case before putting him on the team.
“Aziz Raise, in addition to the Golkar Party figures, Pakpak-Dairi figures, Aziz Angkat are community leaders, mosque leaders, KAHMI figures. By including those names, Aman’s team is not considering this,” Sugiat said. .
Sugiat also compared the former mayor of Medan who stumbled upon a corruption case, Abdillah, to Gelmok. According to him, Abdillah is better than Gelmok.
“Yes Abdillah, we can honestly admit that as mayor he contributed to the development of the city of Medan during his time in Pemko Medan. In his time, he got Adipura, Medan was clean and the gardens were in order,” he explained.
