Barcelona –
Barcelona have confirmed that they will indeed sell Arturo Vidal, in whom Inter Milan is interested, this summer. However, there are things that still block it. What is that?
Vidal’s contract was originally due to expire in 2021. However, the Chilean midfielder was not included in manager Ronald Koeman’s plan this season.
Vidal has also linked up with various teams this summer. In addition to Juventus, Inter Milan would be interested in signing the 33-year-old.
The last club mentioned has the potential to do so. In fact, a personal agreement has reportedly been reached between the two, waiting for the transfer to be completed.
Barcelona’s technical secretary, Ramon Planes, has confirmed that Vidal will move this summer. It is true that the club is trying to let him go.
“It is not over yet. We have Arturo, a player to thank with his extraordinary generosity and commitment, for what he has given so far,” Planes said as reported by the Evening Standard.
“We are trying to allow him to leave, but this is not over. The market situation is difficult due to the corona virus, so you have to be very patient,” he said.
Vidal has been defending Barcelona since 2018, after being signed from Bayern Munich. Two seasons playing in the Spanish League, the player who also had the Colo-colo, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus uniforms has a record of 96 appearances, 11 goals and 10 assists, and has presented a LaLiga trophy and the Spanish Super Cup.
In addition to Vidal, it is reported that Barcelona will still release many players in the transfer market this summer. Among those who entered the sales rumor was Luis Suárez.
