The TNI commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, orders an investigation into the motives for the attack on the Ciracas police

JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – The Ciracas police headquarters in East Jakarta was targeted by hundreds of unknown individuals on Saturday morning (8/29/2020).

As a result of the attack, the Ciracas Police office was damaged. Not only that, two vehicles were also set on fire, each one the official car of the Chief of Police of Ciracas and a bus operating at the scene of the incident.

Following this incident, the TNI commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, ordered his staff to investigate the motive for the attack and the destruction of the Ciracas police.

This was relayed by the Commander of the East Jakarta Military District Command (Kodim) 0505 / Colonel Kav Rahyanto Edy.

According to Rahyanto, the TNI marshal commander ordered to investigate the motive for the destruction of the East Jakarta Ciracas Police because the scene of the incident was the same as that which happened in 2018.

As is known, on December 11, 2018, the Ciracas Police were damaged and set on fire by the masses. The perpetrators of the destruction were later found to be members of the TNI.
