Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Covid-19 Management Working Group issued a circular (SE) that regulates health protocols during the 2021 Christmas and New Year holidays for national and foreign travelers.
These rules are SE Number 3 of 2020 regarding health protocols for people traveling during the Christmas holidays and welcoming the New Year 2021 in the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Pandemic (Covid-19).
The SE, which was signed by Doni Monardo, director of the BNPB and president of the Covid-19 Working Group, is valid from December 19 to January 8, 2021 and can be modified according to the evolution of the situation.
Covid 19 Management Working Group spokesperson Wiku Adisasmito said this provision was part of an effort to combat transmission.
Previous vacation experiences, he said, were always followed by an increase in the number of Covid-19 transmission cases in various parts of Indonesia.

Some of the provisions of the SE include the obligation to carry out health protocols for travelers with 3 main points:
First, everyone traveling in person must request and adhere to 3M health protocols, i.e. wear a mask, keep distance and avoid crowds, and wash hands with soap or use gel alcohol.
SecondThe need to tighten up health protocols along the way, in the form of wearing masks that are required to adequately cover the nose and mouth with the type of 3-layer cloth mask or medical mask.
It is forbidden to eat and drink during the flight for a trip of less than 2 hours, except for people who are obliged to take medicine for their safety and health.
Third, domestic travelers must meet a series of conditions:
to. Any person traveling in a public or private vehicle is responsible for their health and is subject to and obeys the applicable terms and conditions;
second. For travel to the island of Bali, travelers using air transport must show a negative result certificate using the RT-PCR test no later than 7 x 24 hours before departure as a travel requirement and complete the e-HAC of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, travelers using land or sea transportation, both private and public, must show a certificate of negative result using the rapid antigen test no later than 3 x 24 hours before departure as a travel requirement and complete the e- HAC from Indonesia;
C. For travel to and from the island of Java, as well as within Java (between provinces / districts / cities), travelers using intercity air and rail transport must show a negative result using the rapid antigen test no later than 3 x 24 hours before departure. as a travel requirement.
Travelers using land transportation, both public and private, are advised to use a rapid antigen test no later than 3 x 24 hours prior to departure as a travel requirement. Completing e-HAC Indonesia is mandatory for travelers using all modes of public and private transport except rail modes of transport;
re. Children under 12 years of age are not required to perform the RT-PCR test or the rapid antigen test as a condition of travel;

Routine trips on the island of Java with the maritime transport mode that aims to serve limited locations between islands or national ports within an agglomeration area or by land transport, both private and public within an urban agglomeration area ( Jabodetabek), are not required to show a rapid antigen test result as a requirement. trip;

Wiku added that similar provisions also apply to international travelers during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Foreign travelers must show negative RT-PCR test results in the country of origin and it is valid for 3 x 24 hours from the time it is issued on e-HAC Indonesia.
