Din Syamsuddin is married to the grandson of the founder of Gontor Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Rashda Diana. The second marriage was celebrated in private in the house of the leader Gontor Ponpes.

The one who married the two was KUA Chief Mlarak Muhamad Auliyaussofi. This was Sofi’s confession when she married Din and Rashda.

“Yes, definitely ndredek. As far as possible I keep what comes out of my mouth without errors, especially in front of my ustaz,” Sofi told detikcom, on Sunday (1/3/2021).

“With a chilling heart I keep trying to fulfill my duties professionally,” added Sofi.

Sofi admitted that even though he had previously been the leader of a marriage in Ponpes Gontor, even nine times, he still felt nervous. This is because the bride and groom are a national figure.

“If you become a leader (by marrying people) in Gontor, it was the ninth time,” said Sofi.

It turns out that Sofi himself was a student of Gontor Ponpes in 2000, while Din Syamsuddin was a student of Gontor in 1975.

“I myself have never spoken directly to Pak Din, nor has he taught me. I only met several times during an alumni event,” Sofi said.

Prof. Dr. KH Muhammad Sirajuddin Syamsuddin or known as Din Syamsuddin was known to be born in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, on August 31, 1958, 62 years old, is a figure of Muhammadiyah.

Meanwhile, his wife Rashda Diana was born in Ponorogo on May 5, 1973. Rashda is the second child of three siblings. It is known that she is the daughter of the late KH Imam Subakir Ahmad Bin KH Ahmad Ridwan.
