KOMPAS.com – Hundreds of residents of Sumurgeneng Village, Jenu district, Tuban Regency, East Java, suddenly became billionaires and bought cars.

This is because Pertamina bought their land for the construction of an oil refinery.

However, not all residents of the village experienced the windfall. This is because in Sumurgeneng there are also many people who do not have land to sell.

One of them is Tarsimah (65). This woman could only hear the loud voices of her neighbors selling land for an oil refinery project.

“I can’t get anything, just look at the people who sell the land happily,” he said when meeting at his home on Friday (2/19/2021).

He admitted that he had no land to sell to the state company.

“I have no land, only this house. My husband and I are no longer working, we have received help from the government,” she said.

In that house she lives with Parman (70), her husband, who is now ill and cannot walk.

This condition made him have to survive with all his limitations.

She also said that currently her two children did not live at home, but had families. Some live outside the city.

“Yes, if I survive seeing my neighbors selling land, I can’t do anything, I don’t have land to sell either,” he said as he leaned against the entrance.

Jenu, Imron said, there were 288 BPNT beneficiary families (KPM) in Sumurgeneng village, either the food welfare worker (BSP) or the district social welfare officer (TKSK) Jenu.

However, after verifying the virality of the multi-million dollar village, it was found that 27 KPM were deemed capable because they had sold land to Pertamina.

Residents who are deemed liable to be blacked out as BPNT beneficiaries through the application of the Next Generation Social Welfare Information System (SIKS-NG).

“It has been verified by the officer, who gets compensation for the land to be removed from the BPNT recipient,” concluded Imron.

It was previously reported that Sumurgeneng villagers purchased 176 cars after suddenly becoming billionaires as a result of disbursement from the sale of land for the Grass Root Refinery (GRR) oil refinery project.

The cars bought by residents were from various makes, including Toyota Kijang Innova, Honda HR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero, and Honda Jazz.

There are 840 families living in Sumurgeneng Village. However, the land bought by the state company is around 225 families.

Prices received by residents for the sale of land by the meter range from Rs 600-800 thousand. So that the sales that people get on average reach billions of rupees.

For land sales of at least Rs 36 billion, most of the residents here get Rs 26 billion, while there are outsiders who get Rs 28 billion.

However, the average citizen received 8 billion rupees.
