BAJAWA, KOMPAS.com – Photos and videos showing a policewoman (Polwan) securing a Christmas celebration in a church while holding a baby have gone viral on social media.
The photos and videos have been widely discussed by citizens since Friday (12/25/2020) at noon.
After being located, the policewoman in the photo is Caesilia Police Brigadista Mari Ina Ese Korebima.
The policewoman was conducting Christmas security duties at GMIT Ebenhaezer Bajawa church on Friday.
When contacted, Ina said the baby she was carrying while on duty was still three months old.
The mother of three admitted that she deliberately took her baby out of service because her husband was also caring for another church.

Meanwhile, her domestic assistant was attending Christmas mass.
“I brought her with me on duty, because my husband is also in charge of securing Christmas at another church. The house attendant is also attending Christmas mass,” Ina said by text message. WhatsApp, Friday.
Even so, that condition did not prevent him from fulfilling his duties.
“For me, this is neither an obstacle nor an obstacle in the performance of the tasks that the police have been assigned to,” Ina explained.
Ina deliberately brought her son because the three-month-old baby couldn’t stay home.
“As a mother, I definitely can’t bear to leave my children at home,” Ina said.
Meanwhile, Kapolres Ngada AKBP Rio Cahyowidi admitted that he was very proud of Ina’s actions.
“As Chief of Police I am proud of Brigpol Ina, because she has shown extraordinary dedication. Apart from fulfilling her official duties, she has not forgotten her duties as a mother,” Rio said when confirmed via text message.
Rio added that the portrait of Ina holding her baby on duty became an example for other officers.
Officers, he said, must not abandon family responsibility while dedicating themselves to the country.

“Ina is a strong and resilient mother who can fulfill her duties while taking care of her baby,” she explained.
According to Rio, security in the Ngada area is the duty of all members of the Police, especially the Ngada Police.
He admitted that the Ngada Police had to dispatch all members to secure Christmas 2020.
Because the Christmas and New Year celebrations are approaching the Simultaneous stages of Pilkada 2020.
