Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appointed Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, as Acting Minister of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
Luhut took over from Edhy Prabowo, who resigned as state administrator, after being named a suspect in the lobster seed export bribery case by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
“Whatever the problem, Luhut is the solution”, was the comment of netizens after learning that Luhut Binsar was returning to a concurrent position.
Even economists and politicians often refer to Luhut as the prime minister or minister who is capable of handling all kinds of affairs. The former Presidential Chief of Staff is considered a versatile man.
Based on records CNBC IndonesiaThis is not the first time that Luhut Binsar has become Jokowi’s “confidant” in this position. At least Luhut has received terms three times in recent years.
