AC Milan will host Parma in the eleventh giornata of the Italian League. In that match, the Rossoneri were still unable to line up their flagship striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic, who has scored 11 goals and 2 assists for Milan this season, has missed the last five games with a muscle injury. However, this did not reduce the sharpness of Stefano Pioli’s team.

Without the presence of Ibrahimovic, Milan won four times, drew once and scored 10 goals. As a result, Milan not only qualified for the last 32 of the Europa League as the winner of Group H, but also topped the Serie A standings with 26 points.

Therefore, Pioli did not want to rush to interpret the recovered Ibrahimovic. The same goes for Simon Kjer, who has missed the last two games through injury. After all, without both, Milan still achieved positive results.

“They (Ibrahimovic and Kjaer) are still being treated and aiming for a comeback next Wednesday, but we must not risk making mistakes. There is no need to rush,” Pioli said before the game, quoted by Italian football.

“Without Ibra our style of play hasn’t changed much. Each player has his own character. Rafael Leao plays with more freedom. Ante Rebic is always good at attacking empty spaces, while Ibra ties everything together.”

As for Parma, Pioli has also been wary of his potential opponent. Milan will try to use the momentum to attack Fabio Liverani’s side.

“Parma is a good team, they have a game character that can make it difficult for us, so we have to be attentive when we have the ball and not rush when we try to break their defense,” explained Pioli.

AC Milan vs Parma will take place on Monday (12/14/2020) at 02:45 WIB.
