BRASS DIALECTIC – The community is now being reminded again about Rebo Wekasan day, which will fall on Wednesday October 14, 2020 and some of them are seeking information on the procedures for the Wekasan rebo ritual.
Initially, information about Rebo Wekasan’s day circulated in a short WhatsApp message reminding people to carry out the ritual of praying to reject reinforcements and increase handouts.
Last Wednesday, or the so-called last Wednesday, is a traditional ritual that takes place on the last Wednesday of the Rajab month.

This is done to seek the protection of Allah SWT from various calamities that will occur that day. This tradition has been maintained for generations among Javanese, Sundanese, Madurans, etc.
Wekasan Wednesday ritual rituals include four things, namely, repulsion of prayers, prayers with special prayers, drinking amulet and salvation water, almsgiving, hospitality, and doing good to others.
The origin of this tradition begins with the recommendation of Sheikh Ahmad bin Umar Ad-Dairobi (d. 1151 H) in the book “Fathul Malik Al-Majid Al-Mu-Allaf Li Naf’il ‘Abid Wa Qam’i Kulli Jabbar’ Anid (usual called: Mujarrobat ad-Dairobi).
