– Requested the President that the Chief of the National Police prohibit and prevent the police and Brimob and security agents from using violence and repression against anti-OBL protesters.
– Stop all forms of manufacturing aimed at prohibiting or hindering peaceful mass demonstrations, much less using pam initiatives against demonstrations, because it is guaranteed by the constitution.
– MUI called for an open dialogue with all elements of the nation to calm the security situation and avoid arrogance of power or selfishness.
– Intensification of public communication so that there is a correct understanding of the pros and cons of OBL.
– The origin of the commotion was the absence of an original text of the OBL Law that was signed by the DPR and the Government, the different versions in circulation worsened the situation.
– MUI has received many comments from all walks of life from the general public and professionals who reject OBL.
– The DPR regime does not accept MUI contributions and tends to underestimate them.
– As a service board for Muslims, MUI still protects the ummah and upholds the truth.

Jokowi also responded to MUI’s attitude. Jokowi, Muhyiddin said, would not issue a Perppu.

“The response of the president, among others, is to do everything possible to make PP. The president does not want to make a Perppu because the OBL is an initiative of the Government. JR or the revision of the Law is considered part of the solution to overcome the noise, “said Muhyiddin.
