JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The National Police asked the crowd case during the registration of President Joko Widodo’s son, Gibran Rakabuming as a candidate for mayor of Solo, not to be confused with the case of a crowd event led by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). ) Rizieq Shihab.
The head of the Public Information Office of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General (Pol) Awi Setiyono, said that crowds during the Pilkada 2020 stages, such as Gibran’s record, were under the authority of the Electoral Supervision Agency (Bawaslu).
“Do not confuse the case. This is the story now, what is the problem, the staggering (record of the pilkada). That is the matter of the pilkada, who is the supervisor, (Bawaslu) yes. So the process is there, the laws are there, the regulations are there, “Awi said. at the National Police Criminal Investigation Building, South Jakarta, Wednesday (11/18/2020).

He also asked reporters to ask about the accusation during Gibran’s search at the local Bawaslu.
According to Awi, each case of suspected violation of health protocols has differences, so they cannot be beaten equally.
In handling the police, Awi said the National Police encouraged the head of the regional unit (kasatwil) to take firm action against those who violate health protocol.
The Chief of the National Police, General (Pol) Idham Azis, has also issued a telegram number ST / 3220 / XI / KES.7. / 2020 dated November 16, 2020. The letter was signed by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Division, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
One of the points of the letter is to order the police to prosecute the laws of anyone who violates the health protocols related to Covid-19.
“If (Kasatwil) still cannot, of course he will be evaluated by the leadership of the National Police, that’s all,” he said.
Previously, FPI lawyer Aziz Yanuar considered that the police were unfair because they only questioned the violation of health protocol by Rizieq and the FPI at the wedding of Rizieq’s daughter and the commemoration of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW in Petamburan.
In fact, Aziz said, there were many other activities in various areas that caused crowds, but the police never took action.
“It turns out that the law only applies to FPI, Habib Rizieq and their supporters. Because the violation of the health protocol is only a problem carried out by Habib Rizieq and FPI,” Aziz told Kompas.com on Tuesday (17 / 11/2020).

Aziz also gave an example of a series of activities in various regions that violate health protocols, but have never been touched by the law.
One of them was the crowd when President Joko Widodo’s son, Gibran Rakabuming, registered as a candidate for mayor of Solo.
“Gibran is a list of mayors in Solo. There are many people gathered, without masks, without keeping distance, no problem,” he said.
