JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The action of 1812 that took place around Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, on Friday (12/18/2020) afternoon, was marked by chaos.
Two policemen were hit by sharp weapons. Currently Polda Metro Jaya continues to pursue the attackers.
Polda Metro Jaya’s head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, said the perpetrators who injured the police were different from the five people carrying sharp weapons who had become suspects and were arrested.

“It was different. He (the perpetrator) stabbed and fled immediately. We continue to pursue, still looking for the culprit,” Yusri told reporters on Saturday (12/19/2020), quoted on Kompas.com.
Yusri said that the investigation process of the perpetrators was carried out based on the photos obtained when the incident occurred.
“We have found that the person in the photo is wearing what clothes. The same perpetrator (stabbed two policemen). We have secured the gun, the person fled,” Yusri said.
