The perpetrators of the Makassar attack write a will to the parents

The head of the National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said that the perpetrator suicide bomb in front of the cathedral church Makassar he had left a will before carrying out the action.

The letter, he said, was written by a male perpetrator with the initials L. The will was written by L at the same time to say goodbye to his parents.

“Brother L left a will to his parents saying he was fired and was ready to be martyred,” Listyo said at a press conference on Monday (3/29).

Listyo said the police had identified the perpetrators. Including, he said, the DNA tests performed at the Forensic Laboratory.

“It is identical that the male perpetrator is really brother L and we have matched this with his family, while the female is a brother of YSF,” he said.

“We have identified it, identical to the fingerprints we obtained,” he added.

For information, the suicide bombers at Makassar Cathedral were members of JAD. The two people who were a husband and wife were killed in the action.

The suicide bombing took place in front of the Makassar Cathedral Catholic Church on Sunday morning (3/28) around 10:28 AM WITA. At the time of the explosion, the church congregation had just finished performing the Palm Sunday Mass.

There were reportedly 20 injured victims as of the night, including church officials and parishioners. Dozens of victims suffered serious, moderate and minor injuries.

According to the police, the alleged perpetrators were two people who were husband and wife. They were both on motorcycles and wanted to break into the church.

In the photos circulated and confirmed, the alleged perpetrators began their action while riding a motorcycle with police number DD 5984 MD. The assailants, who were men and women, respectively, had the initials L and YSF. The woman, he said, was doing private work.
