Astanaanyar Police Chief, Police Commissioner Yuni Purwanti Kusuma Dewi and 11 members have been arrested for Propam in connection with drugs. Kompol Yuni had played an important role in the West Java Regional Police. Before Bandung, Yuni served as Chief of Narcotics in the Bogor Police.
Yuni also served in the West Java Police Directorate of Drug Detectives. For the post of chief of police, Yuni has served three times as the leadership staff within the police force in Bandung. Polsek Yuni has led include the Bojongloa Kidul Police, the Sukasari Police and finally the Astanaanyar Police.
In his last post, Kompol Yuni was secured by joint propaganda personnel from the West Java Police Headquarters and Regional Police. He is suspected of being involved in narcotic abuse. In addition to Yuni, 11 members were also dragged away.
Information collected, Yuni was seized at a location in Bandung on Tuesday (2/16) yesterday. It is still being tested by Propam.
“The police chief and several members of his staff are still under investigation,” West Java Police Chief of Public Relations Kombes Erdi A. Chaniago said Wednesday at the West Java regional police headquarters, Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, Bandung City (2/17/2021).
When Kompol Yuni was arrested, according to Erdi, no evidence of drugs was found. “But after the urine test, the results were positive,” Erdi said.
