jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Presidential General Staff Office (KSP) denied General (ret) Gatot Nurmantyo’s statement linking his removal from the post of TNI Commander to his ingenuity in directing the screening of the film G30S PKI.
According to KSP chief expert Donny Gahral Adian, Gatot’s removal from the post of TNI commander is based on the age of the figure who was born on March 13, 1960 and who retired.
“Pak Gatot’s term is over and it is time for a routine replacement of TNI leadership. So it has nothing to do with the G30S projection,” Donny said when confirmed on Wednesday (9/23).
Donny emphasized that it was too much for Gatot to link the replacement of the TNI commander with the instructions for the screening of the film G30S PKI.
“I think it’s too far and a little too far to link the screening of the G30S film with its removal,” he added.
According to Donny, all the leaders of TNI and Polri will definitely be replaced when they retire. Therefore, Donny emphasized that Gatot was not removed during his tenure.
“They didn’t get him out of the way, did they? It was in line with the department’s time and routine,” Donny explained. (tan / jpnn)
