Thousands of students plan to hold a demonstration at the Merdeka Palace tomorrow. It is estimated that there are more than 5,000 students from 300 campuses in Indonesia who joined in this action.

Andi said that this action plan had been consolidated with campuses throughout Indonesia since last October 5. The BEM SI Alliance agreed to organize an action tomorrow.

“In the narrative, we agreed to reject and seek other alternatives like JR and urge the president to issue a perppu,” he said.

The labor alliance also continues to hold a national strike today in connection with the rejection of the recently approved Employment Creation Law. Workers will take to the streets to act until October 8, 2020.
