JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Chief General of the National Police (Pol) Idham Azis has signed a regulation on the retirement age limit for members of the security unit (security guard).
These provisions are contained in Article 31 of the Regulation of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2020 on the security of self-defense dated August 5, 2020.
The retirement age limit for individual security guards varies by rank.
“For individual security guards, 56 years for executors, 58 years for supervisors and 70 years for managers,” as cited in the draft confirmed by the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono.

The Chief of the National Police also regulates the retirement age limit for security guards who are retired Polri or TNI personnel.
The details are 60 years for members with executive ranks, 65 years for supervisors, and 70 years for managers.
Additionally, security guards can terminate their duties by voluntarily resigning.
Other reasons for ending the duty of a security guard as set out in article 30 are death, violation of the code of ethics, giving a false statement during the search or committing a crime with a threat of more than five years.
The rank of security guards is also one of the novelties that are regulated.
Rank chief groups are marked with a red triangle. The levels consist of senior manager, middle manager, and manager.

Then the supervisor group includes the senior supervisor level, the intermediate supervisor and the supervisor. The classification mark for this group is a yellow triangle.
Finally, the group of executives made up of the main executor, the intermediate executor and the executor. The classification mark for this group is a white triangle.
Another new rule for security guards that is contained in the regulation is related to uniforms.
There are also five types of security guard uniforms. In the old regulation, there were only four types of security guard uniforms.
The five consist of PDH, special field service clothing (PDL Sus), field service clothing one (PDL One), daily civilian clothing (PSH), and full civilian clothing (PSL).
Also, the security guard uniform turns brown like the uniform of a police officer.
The head of the Public Information Office (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General (Pol) Awi Setiyono, said that the similarity in the color of the security guard’s uniform with the Create an emotional closeness to build pride.
