Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Head of the Office of Information and Communication Services of the Ministry of Finance (Ministry of Finance) Rahayu Puspasari said that his ministry was still reviewing the speech on the increase salary State civil apparatus (ASN) in 2021.

This was in response to the news of the Minister of Empowerment of State Apparatuses and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo, who said that the salaries of state officials would increase next year. With this increase, the salary of the ASN with the lowest rank will be at least in the range of Rp.9 million to Rp.10 million.

“It is currently still in the interdepartmental review stage considering many aspects, including the impact on state finances in the short and long term,” Rahayu told CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (12/29).

Unfortunately, he has not been able to detail the progress of the study results. What is clear, Rahayu said, is that the State Income and Expenditure Budget (APBN) of 2021 was approved in Law Number 9 of 2020.

In this way, the implementation of the APBN next year will follow the provisions stipulated in the regulations.

“The Law (APBN) establishes that the government is still focused on managing the pandemic and economic recovery,” he added.

Earlier, Tjahjo revealed that the salaries of low-ranking ASNs will exceed the range of IDR 9 million to IDR 10 million next year due to the salary increase policy. In addition, the government will also increase the pension for public servants.

The details consist of 4.2 million civil servants, 1 million government employees with teacher labor contracts (PPPK), 260 health workers and about 100,000 extension workers.

“Hopefully, through recruitment, merit system, assignments, etc. can be arranged, we will record how many ASNs we need,” Tjahjo said yesterday.
