Minister of Labor (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah met with the Chairman of the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Said Aqil Siraj, on Saturday (10/10) amid a wave of rejection of the Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law.

The meeting was held behind closed doors at Said Aqil’s residence at Jalan Sadar Raya Number 55, Ciganjur, South Jakarta. The meeting started at 8:00 pm WIB.

Ida said the meeting was limited to friendship. He tried to explain the meaning of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, especially the employment group, to the PBNU.

“I think that after receiving the explanation, especially from the labor group, I think they understood that what should be promoted is to guarantee protection,” Ida said after the meeting, on Saturday (10/10) evening.

On that occasion, Said Aqil emphasized the position of the PBNU. They will still file a lawsuit for judicial review with the Constitutional Court.

Ida said she would continue to tour various elements of society. He wanted to explain the labor group in the law proposed by President Jokowi.

“I will continue to carry out social dialogue and hospitality, to the administrators of Muhammadiyah, to the labor stakeholders,” Ida said.

Previously, the government and the House of Representatives passed the Omnibus Law of the Copyright Law on Monday (10/5). The confirmation came amid approval from various parties, including PBNU.

PBNU even wants to take legal action in response to this ratification. They will accompany the parties who want to sue the MK.
