The Chief of the National Police, General Idham Azis, made statements that drew public attention. The statement came from him wanting to slap the pilot to the point of removing the director of drugs from the Police who was like a vegetable chicken. The statements were made by Idham Azis in front of DPR RI Commission III business partners.
As for the statement that he wanted to slap the pilot, it started with a Sulawesi Police (Sultra) helicopter that had flown low to disperse the mass of action a year after the death of the Halu University students. Uleo (UHO), Randy and Yusuf. The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police confirmed that the helicopter pilot was maneuvering without the superior’s permission.
Idham Azis then spoke about this low-flying helicopter in front of Commission III. He stressed that the helicopter pilot had been questioned by the National Police for not working in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
“I have acted on that pilot and have examined Propam. That made up for it, there was no SOP in the air, it was in Kendari,” Idham Azis said in a meeting with DPR Commission III on Wednesday (9/30/2020 ).
Not just call the helicopter pilot being punished. Idham seemed furious with the work of his men. If allowed, Idham would slap the misbehaving pilot.
“I did it, the pilot made it up. But now I can’t play hitting, so Propam checks it. If it’s still allowed, I’ll quit,” he said.
Aside from the matter of helicopter pilots at work, Idham was then under the focus of Commission III with regard to drug eradication. Hinca Pandjaitan, a member of the F-Democrat Commission III, asked Idham to make a map of the drug trafficking routes to the villages.
“I ask that they send me to Kapolda and Kapolres to the bottom to make a drug trafficking map of city by district. I think it is very important for us to get this map. So the world route map was obtained , the map of the airport by district can also be obtained, especially in the big cities to the towns that are now the most distant, “said Hinca.
