Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Chairman of the Working Group to Accelerate Manipulation Covid-19 Doni Monardo He said there was an 11 percent decrease in new crown cases.
But he warned that the rate of decline was not neglected because there are several groups that have the potential to increase positive crown cases again.
“The rate of new cases has dropped to 11 percent. But this does not mean that we become complacent,” Doni said during a press conference at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (4/5).
He mentioned that the groups that could trigger the new case were the Tabligh congregation group, the Gowa group and various industry groups, and the homecoming groups that passed the exam.
Currently, the government has implemented large-scale social restrictions for various regions. For example, in DKI Jakarta, West Sumatra and Gorontalo where PSBB is applied for a province.
There are also PSBBs that are implemented at the district / city level, such as in the Greater Tangerang, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, Greater Bandung and Surabaya Raya regions.
Doni invites all the working groups in the province to make efforts to prevent, detect and treat people who are already sick.
According to him, the central government will be ready to help handle cases in the regions to reduce co-19 transmission. As it was done in East Java.
He also emphasized that President Joko Widodo had made it clear that he would not be coming home at Eid this year.
Doni also reminded the public not to steal the opportunity to go home. Because this can be risky for transmitting the virus at home.
“Our habit of getting together and hugging each other, shaking hands with the people we care about really puts them in danger,” said the head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
Doni said the coronavirus has mutated, so there are sometimes no symptoms in infected people. Infected and symptom-free people become carriers of the virus that has the potential to pass it on to others.
The danger is, Doni said, when the virus is transmitted to vulnerable groups, that is, people who have comorbidities.
“If we love our family, at the moment we will not be able to return home,” Doni said. (tst / south)
