jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Komnas HAM is reluctant to respond to the government’s policy of stopping the activities and activities of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) in any way.

Komnas HAM admits that it has not received or studied the Joint Decree (SKB) of six ministers and institutions declaring the FPI a prohibited organization.

“Komnas HAM needs to read first, study this, and of course also be careful. Furthermore, we are currently conducting investigations related to the FPI incident,” Komnas HAM President Ahmad Taufan Damanik told an online press conference. in Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/30).

According to him, Komnas HAM should be careful before giving a statement because the Komnas HAM investigation team is still working to investigate the alleged crash involving FPI on the Cikampek toll road.

He promised that in the coming days he would respond to the policy after studying the policies taken by the government.

The six ministers and institutions who signed the SKB prohibiting the use of symbols and attributes and ending the activities of the FPI were the Minister of the Interior Tito Karnavian, the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H Laoly, the Minister of Communication and IT Johnny G Plate, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Chief of National Police General Idham Azis, and BNPT Director Komjen Pol Boy Rafli Amar.

The government has stated that since June 20, 2019, the FPI de jure dissolved as a mass organization, but as an organization it continues to carry out activities that violate public order, such as provoking and sweeping the streets. (between / jpnn)
