According to Munarman, the arrival of the representative of the German embassy would trigger international attention on the case of the death of six members of the FPI laskar during clashes with the police some time ago.
“International attention to the extrajudicial execution of six martyrs will have an impact on Indonesia’s reputation in the international world,” he said.
Six FPI Laskar were allegedly killed by the police. Two of them died in the shooting, while four others were shot in the car for resisting and trying to grab the officers’ weapons.
Komnas HAM also investigated the shooting of six FPI soldiers. They aim for the investigation to be completed in one month.
During the investigative process, Komnas HAM questioned various parties, including Metro Jaya Police Inspector General Chief Fadil Imran, and Jasamarga, regarding CCTV at the time of the incident.
The investigation report will then be sent directly to President Joko Widodo and the Chief of the National Police, General Idham Azis.
