Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil sent a letter to the president Jokowi to issue government regulation instead of law (Perppu) Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law. The letter numbered 560/4395 / Disnakertrans was signed by a man who is familiarly named Emil on Thursday (8/10).

The clashes occurred in several areas, including Bandung. Thousands of people from student and work elements demonstrated in front of the West Java DPRD building.

Around 17.00 WIB, the rally started to heat up and the crowd shouted to open the door.

The crowd then threw bottles of mineral water, stones, wood and Molotov at the police. Authorities responded with tear gas fires and warning shots.
