LIVE – The case of the confrontations between the police and members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was taken up by the Police Headquarters. In this incident, it was discovered that the police shot dead six soldiers guarding the imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
“Currently, the case has been withdrawn to the National Police Headquarters,” the head of the Police Public Relations Division, Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono, told reporters on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
This case was previously handled by Polda Metro Jaya. The former head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya explained the reasons for the inauguration.
According to Argo, this was done to ensure that the investigation process of the shooting case was transparent and professional. Subsequently, the investigators in charge will be supervised by the Police Propama Division.

Currently, the Police Propama Division has formed a special team to supervise the police personnel handling the case.
“All actions performed by members on fingerprints are monitored and secured by the Propam Division. All of this is done to make the investigation of this case transparent. Kadiv Propam has formed a team,” Argo said.
It was previously reported that Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Fadil Imran, said that members of the Bhayangkara Corps were attacked by several people on Monday, December 7, 2020, early this morning.
This attack is believed to have something to do with the planned convocation of the second Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front, Habib Rizieq Shihab, which took place today.
This incident occurred on the 50 km Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. At the time of the incident, a unit was on the move. In a unit consists of six people. Meanwhile, the attack was carried out by those ten people.
In this attack, the perpetrators attacked with firearms and sharp weapons. Because the members’ safety was threatened, Fadil continued, the police eventually took action. Police officers fired at the attackers, killing six of the perpetrators.
