Jayakarta (Pangdam Jaya) Military Command Commander Major General Dudung Abdurachman said he will continue to order his soldiers to take down the billboards of Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) leader Habib Rizieq Syihab. He said that even now the reduction of billboards was assisted by the FPI community itself.
“I will continue to do so and now I will join the PP, Polri and even the FPI community that also joined to remove the billboards,” Dudung told detikcom, Saturday (11/21/2020).
Dudung then sent several photos to detikcom. The photo in question is a documentation of Habib Rizieq’s billboard removal activities.
Dudung did not mention in detail the location and time of the removal of the billboards. At the place where the billboard with the image of Habib Rizieq was removed, two people in white hats were seen, one of them wearing a white tunic. The removal was seen to have been carried out when the sky was dark.
On the same occasion, Dudung responded to criticism leveled at him regarding the removal of the billboards from the FPI High Priest, Habib Rizieq Syihab. Dudung said he would not remain silent and would continue to slow down Habib Rizieq’s billboards.
“Yes, if he fits his role, waiting for threats from outside, when will it work? Will he keep quiet?” Dudung said.
Dudung said he gave orders to Kodam Jaya’s ranks to remove Habib Rizieq’s billboards because Satpol PP and the police were defenseless. He himself, Dudung said, would continue to remove the Habib Rizieq billboards.
“As long as Pol PP and Polri do not have the courage to act, I will continue to do so (removing the billboards from Habib Rizieq-red),” said Dudung.
As is known, the criticism came after Dudung’s firm statement about him ordering his soldiers to tear down Habib Rizieq’s billboards. The criticism came from the Gerindra Party.
“We already have the institutions and the apparatus that regulate the matter. For the TNI institution to simply return to its main task of being the power of State Defense. “The posters are part of Satpol PP, whether it is for Satpol PP, for example, if the army is involved, they are asked for help,” he said when contacted yesterday.
“For example, Satpol PP does not have the courage to lower the army’s guard. But Satpol PP is not the soldier who works, but Satpol PP is watching,” he added.
