The distribution map data on the official Covid19.go..id site has not changed

This announcement of ODP and PDP data nationwide has not been followed by improvements in the information shown in dashboard online at the official website covid19.go.id.

Accessed on Tuesday night (April 14, 2020), the dashboard managed by the Covid-19 Task Force still displays data as before in the form of aggregated national data on the number of positive cases, the number of patients who recovered , died and positive cases were hospitalized. Often the data is different from that shown on local government websites.

In addition to the fact that the data is often not synchronized between the center and the regions, the openness of the information presented also varies. There are provinces that open distribution data down to the Kelurahan level, but some only reach the regency level.

Compared to neighboring Malaysia, much information is not available on the site covid19.go.id.

Not only does it distribute statistics in the form of numbers, the Government of Malaysia also shares information on cluster contagion so that the community can be alert if a new cluster of contagions is found.

On April 8, 2020, for example, the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s official Twitter account @KKMPutrajaya posted information on the country’s 5 largest contagion groups. (Read: Corona Distribution, this is what Indonesians and Malaysians know.)

Information on the broadcast group is not available on the official Indonesian government website located at covid19.go.id.

Some time ago, on March 22, 2020, the site http://covid-monitoring.kemkes.go.id The Ministry of Health has published the cartographic traces of transmission between one patient and another patient. However, the map did not last long. Only two days later, the map disappeared after the accusation of the results of the programming of the copy code. After that, practically the public is blind to the group of transmission trails.

At the provincial level, only DKI Jakarta has made a transmission timeline on the site corona.jakarta.go.id. That was raised by only 26 cases. In fact, co-19 positive patients in Jakarta have exceeded 2,000. (See: Anies wants transparency, but posts about location trails stop.)

Previously, the Head of the Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center of the National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB), Agus Wibowo, revealed that his side had difficulties obtaining data from the Ministry of Health.

“That’s right, there are still many that are closed,” Agus Wibowo said in an online discussion uploaded by the Energy Academy Indonesia YouTube account on Sunday (April 5, 2020).

According to Agus, the supply of data from the Ministry of Health to BNPB, which led the Covid-19 Management Task Force, was very limited, so it was unable to produce complete and open data.

“That is indeed one of the obstacles now,” said Agus.

“I also discovered that the Ministry of Health reports to the WHO on the number, sex, age and status of the same day. Just know if there are such data,” said Agus. (See: BNPB call to the Ministry of Health covered with data from Corona Indonesia).

Because of this, Agus said, his party remains a pioneer in the Opposite Covid-19 app. Later, data from BNPB, BPBD, TNI and Polri will be provided to link to the application.[]
