Manchester United closed the first half of the match against Everton steadily. The Red Devils won two unanswered goals.
In the match at Old Trafford on Sunday (7/2/2021) early morning WIB, MU played pressing from the first minutes and did not give Everton a chance to develop the game.
Everton, who tried to attack MU from the wing several times, were also unable to compromise the host’s defense. Dominic Calvert-Lewin in attack couldn’t do much in the first half.
MU was finally able to break the deadlock in the 24th minute. Marcus Rashford stabs from the right and then sends a cross to the far post. Edinson Cavani greeted him with a header that broke Robin Olsen’s net.
MU, who tried to score a goal, lost to Paul Pogba in the 39th minute with a thigh problem. Fred replaces Pogba.
Everton have a chance through Richarlison in the 41st minute when David de Gea loses position. The ball was sent straight into the net and De Gea quickly rejected it.
In the 45th minute, MU scored his second goal from Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes receives a pass from Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the edge of the box. Fernandes sends the ball into the upper right corner of Olsen’s goal.
Everton almost cut the scoring moments later through Calvert-Lewin, but their one-on-one shot failed to produce a goal. The 2-0 score stands for MU excellence.
