KOMPAS.com – An explosion occurred in front of the Makassar Cathedral Church, Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Sunday (3/28/2021).

Quoted from Compass tv, one of the eyewitnesses, Armin Hari, said he heard the sound of an explosion while in a clinic in Jalan Hasanuddin.

While riding a motorcycle taxi in line for the return trip, Armin passed Jalan Kartini, Makassar.

“The crowd was there, and they said there was a bomb, that people had started running,” Armin said when quoted by the broadcast. Compass tv, Sunday (3/28/2021).

Armin said, Jalan Kartini has been installed in two perimeters of the police line. You are now in place.

“I’m still at Jalan Kartini and now two perimeters are installed, one at the Kartini T-junction in front of the hotel, then at the intersection. The police line has already been installed,” he said.

According to him, the explosion did not destroy any buildings. This is because the explosion occurred at the entrance on the right side of the Makassar Cathedral Church.

“The security apparatus has landed, the security forces are marking some of the existing fragments,” Armin said.
