KOMPAS.com – After carrying out a series of inquiries and investigations, the police finally managed to catch the author of giving water to the cyclist in Sleman.

The perpetrator is known to have the initials J (37), a resident of Temanggung, Central Java. He was arrested in the vicinity of Denggung Square, Jalan Magelang, Sleman, on Sunday morning (12/27/2020).

After being investigated, it turned out that the perpetrator had already carried out the action seven times.

In carrying out the action, the attacker sprayed the cyclists with Dextone brand glue.

Before the police, J admitted that the act was done because he had hurt his girlfriend.

Sleman AKBP Police Chief Anton Firmanto explained that the perpetrator initially knew a woman with the initials W, at an angkringan in the Jalan Kabupaten area.

After meeting, the perpetrator likes the woman and has met seven times.

Since the meeting, the perpetrator always gave the woman up to Rp. 8 million.

At the last meeting, the perpetrator gave Rp. 3 million, but it turned out that the woman simply disappeared.

“The woman just left the perpetrator when she felt sorry for her. They already gave her money of up to Rp. 8 million but her love was not reciprocated,” said Anton, on Monday (12/28/2020). TribunJogja.com.

Because he was hurt, continued Anton, the perpetrator who discovered that his friend liked cycling, then expressed his disappointment by spraying glue on the cyclists.

However, in carrying out the action, the perpetrator not only targeted everyone who was riding a bicycle, but cyclists who were similar to the women who harmed him.

“The perpetrator observes the cyclists, that according to the characteristics of the perpetrator, the pengowes are a bit thick, then their hair is a bit short. So the objective is with physical characteristics like this ”, he explained.

“With the glue that has been prepared on the dashboard of the motorcycle, it is sprayed immediately. Of the seven crime scenes, all targeted hips and thighs. And all the victims had torn pants and burned skin, “he continued.

From the results of the police investigation of the perpetrators, J admitted that he had carried out the action seven times.

Among them are at Jalan Palagan Ngaglik, Sleman, on October 29, 2020. Then, at Jalan Magelang, Sleman on November 8, 2020.

Then Jalan Parasamya, Tridadi, Sleman on November 30, 2020, Jalan Gito Gati, Sleman on December 24, 2020 and finally at Jalan Damai, Ngaglik, Sleman on December 25, 2020.

“The perpetrator has also admitted that all the irrigation in the Sleman area was done by himself. Both from October to the last in Jalan Damai,” said on Sunday (12/27/2020) the head of the Criminal Investigation Unit Sleman Police Officer, AKP Deni Irwansyah. TribunJogja.com.

For his actions, J was charged under article 351 of the Penal Code regarding the crime of abuse with a maximum prison sentence of more than 2 years.

“I did something wrong like that. I apologize,” J said when he was introduced at a news conference at Sleman Police Headquarters on Monday.
