KOMPAS.com- Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo made a proposal regarding the provision of salaries for state officials (ASN) amid a pandemic.
Ganjar proposed that the central government reduce the earnings of officials of Group III officials (ASN) by 50 percent nationwide.
“I am proposing to the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) to count nationally. All of our employees have at least a 50 percent higher rating than the officials,” Ganjar said.
However, it is proposed that Group I or II ASNs continue to receive full income.

Reason for deduction.
Ganjar explained that the situation of the Indonesian economy in the midst of the pandemic was still opaque.
In fact, the situation is expected to continue until next year.
“Next year the image is still blurred, our economy is still blurred,” he said.
The deduction for ASN class III and higher shows concern for small communities that are experiencing difficulties.
“So if it can be reduced by a minimum of 50 percent, it can show sensitivity and the budget can be allocated torescue small community, “he said.
He called for the proposal to cut 50 percent of ASN’s revenue to be really considered by the central government.
“I ask that this proposal be seriously considered,” he said.
