During a meeting on the 11th floor of the TNCC building of the National Police Headquarters, Napoleon said that Tommy mentioned the names of the Chief of Criminal Investigation, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Vice President of the DPR, Azis Syamsuddin.

This was revealed in the ongoing trial of the removal from the wanted list (DPO) case on behalf of Djoko Tjandra and defendant Tommy Sumardi, Jakarta Corruption Court, on Tuesday (11/24). Napoleon revealed it in his capacity as a witness to the defendant Tommy Sumardi.

“It was in early April 2020, Brigadier General Pol Prasetijo Utomo came to my office on the 11th floor of TNCC along with the accused. [Tommy Sumardi], “kata Napoleon.

Napoleon said, during the meeting, Tommy immediately said: “Please one star out of the room, this is a three star business.”

This made Prasetijo leave and go to Napoleon’s private secretariat.

Then, Napoleon continued, Tommy explained that the purpose of his visit was to check the status of Djoko Tjandra’s Red Notice. Napoleon admitted that it was not easy to believe. Furthermore, according to him, this matter was not trivial.

“So I asked the defendant, what is this brother Djoko Tjandra. The lawyer? No. Family? No. What is Djoko? I am his friend, replied the defendant. I am still not sure,” Napoleon told the panel of judges.

“Then he told me, the defendant who said, this is not my language, but the defendant’s language told me that he was close to me, that he had the blessing of Kabareskrim Polri,” he continued.

However, when Tommy wanted to prove his confession by contacting Listyo, Napoleon said it was not necessary.

“Do you need to call him?” Napoleon said, mimicking Tommy.

“I said it is not necessary. Kabareskrim is my minor, it is not necessary. But I am sure that if a police brigadier Prasetijo Utomo from Bareskrim is brought into my office, this must be true,” he continued.

There has been no statement from the Chief of Criminal Investigation, Komjen Listyo Sigit, and the National Police Headquarters regarding Napoleon’s testimony. CNNIndonesia.com has contacted Listyo Sigit but has received no response.

Still, Napoleon claimed that he did not easily believe Tommy’s confession. On that basis, he explained, Tommy was still making efforts to call Azis Syamsuddin.

“I said, who did you want to call me? The defendant said: Bang Azis. Who is Azis? Azis Syamsuddin. Oh, Vice President of DPR? Yes. Because back then he was still a Pamen.” [ perwira menengah polisi] I used to know him, so I continued, “Napoleon said.

During the meeting, Napoleon said that Tommy also spoke about his closeness to Kabareskrim, Listyo Sigit. He said Tommy also shared that he was once the coordinator for the implementation of six soup kitchens run by the Chief of Criminal Investigation and Police.

“So I became more understanding, but at the time I said this: ‘If you want to check the status of Djoko Tjandra’s Red Notice, I have no solid reason because this is oral,'” he explained.

He also explained that according to Interpol’s Data Processing Rules, verifications can only be carried out on the basis of the human rights of the subject of the Red Notice, his lawyer or his family.

“So, I cannot deliver this verbal request even though the defendant’s brother called a state official. I need a letter from attorney Djoko Tjandra or his family,” Napoleon said.

The prosecutor previously accused Napoleon and Prasetijo of taking bribes from Djoko Tjandra. Napoleon is said to have received money in the amount of S $ 200,000 and US $ 270,000, while Prasetijo received US $ 150,000.

He plans to register a Supreme Court (MA) Reconsideration Decision (PK) that sentenced him to 2 years in prison and a fine of 15 million rupees, a subsidiary of 3 months in prison for corruption of the right to collect (cessie) Bank Bali.
