Supriono (43) was determined to kill the foreman of a project who he thought had taken his wife. This concrete factory worker recounted the reason why he had the heart to kill the victim with a sickle.
Wonokerto Hamlet’s father-of-two, Sumberwono Village, Bangsal District, Mojokerto Regency appeared relaxed when questioned by investigators. On the sidelines of the investigation, he recounted the reason why he had the heart to kill Sugeng Riyanto (52), a foreman of the Nguntoronadi village / district project, Magetan Regency.
Supriono said that his home with Anik Hariyanti (33) had begun to fracture since Sugeng’s presence. In fact, he and Anik already have two children. Namely, a girl in grade VIII SMP and a son in grade I SD.
“It hurt because Anik had an affair with Sugeng at Mojosari karaoke at the end of 2018. At that time she was still officially my wife,” Supriono said beginning his story to reporters at the Satreskrim office of the Mojokerto police, Jalan Gajah Mada, Mojosari district, on Sunday (11/22/2020).
When he learned of his wife’s affair, Supriono admitted to berating Sugeng. This worker in a concrete factory asked the victim not to damage his home. Because he and Anik already have two children.
“When I reprimanded him, he (Sugeng) just smiled ignorantly and I felt even more hurt. Finally, there was a fight with me,” he said.
A month later, Supriono continued, Anik left the house. The mother of two children chose to live in a pension in Krian, Sidoarjo so that she could freely meet Sugeng.
“I was living in a pension to get closer to Sugeng’s workplace in Krian. At that time I was just looking for my wife, Sugeng was not there,” he said.
Supriono and Anik’s house could not be kept. They finally got divorced about 6 months ago. Since then, Supriono has lived in the house he built with Anik in Wonokerto Hamlet, Sumberwono Village.
