A video showing a man suspected of being Richard Muljadi while being escorted by members of the Highway Patrol (PJR) in the Denpasar, Bali area, went viral on social media. Police escorting the man are now subject to sanctions.

In circulating video, 3 men are seen jogging at Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai, Denpasar. One of the men in the video looks like Richard Muljadi.

PJR’s car was in the lead followed by 3 people jogging. Behind the 3 men who were jogging, a white car was seen accompanying them.

Netizens highlighted the PJR car escorting the man, allegedly Richard Muljadi, along with 2 other men as he ran. Netizens also asked about the status of Richard Muljadi, who was sentenced to prison for cocaine cases in February last year.

Not only that, netizens also highlighted that the three men were carrying a white dog while being escorted by the police. Because the video became a topic of conversation, Bali Propam Police examined the officer who was conducting the escort.

“So now the Polda Propam has carried out an inspection,” said Kombes Syamsi, the head of Public Relations for the Bali Police on Friday (10/16/2020).

“Yes, the guards are now being examined, so the number is not safe because they just summoned me this afternoon. Because it was only today, so I did not agree with the procedure, so Propam carried out an inspection,” he added.

The officer escorting the man, allegedly Richard, was suspected of violating the stipulated SOP. There were two police officers who were questioned by Propam in connection with Richard’s escort.

“He did not agree with the procedure, so Propam conducted an investigation. We only conducted an investigation into the errors of the members who violated the SOP in the escort. So it was not who was being guarded,” Syamsi said.
