The city’s DPRD members’ activity budget reaches 888.68 billion IDR, PSI: we disagree

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD revealed that the budget for the support activities of the DKI Jakarta DPRD members is IDR 888.68 billion in the DKI Jakarta regional budget draft by 2021.

The ISP faction stated that they rejected the increase in the budget of the DPRD secretariat.

“The ISP faction disagrees with the amount of the DPRD secretariat budget increase amid the Covid-19 pandemic,” PSI faction member Eneng Malianasari said in a plenary meeting. at the DPRD DKI building in Jakarta, on Friday (11/27/2020).

The increased budget will be used for work plan assignments for DPRD members, from breaks, work visits, socialization of regional regulations and draft regulations, to socialization of nationalities.

“The total value of the budget is 888.68 billion IDR to support the activities of 106 DPR members. Meanwhile, millions of people are experiencing financial difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, it would not be good. if the amount of the budget increase was so large, “he said. .

Not only that, PSI also asked the DKI Provincial Government to review the spending budget. event IDR 125.8 billion and advertising or promotion spending of IDR 51.3 billion.

Because the Covid-19 pandemic cannot be determined even when it is over in 2021, event that generally invites the crowd has not been implemented.

“It would be contradictory if DKI Pemprov allocates hundreds of billions of budget to festivals, bazaars and exhibitions that invite large crowds,” he added.

Aside from the two budget increases, PSI also questioned a number of budget lines that were either increased or deemed too large.

The budget questioned by PSI includes the budget for the development and improvement of the ITS traffic light in the Transportation Office of IDR166 billion, a budget for the acquisition of plants of IDR 36 billion.

Then the budget for the construction of seepage wells in the Water Resources Service reached 411 billion rupees, the budget for the acquisition of land for the City Park and Forest Service was 305 billion rupees and an additional budget of Rs 1 trillion for the acquisition of land at BUMD Sarana Jaya.

Eneng conveyed his views of the factions in a plenary session with the agenda to discuss the presentation of the general views of the factions on the draft regional regulation on the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget for fiscal year 2021.

The day before, Thursday (11/26/2020), the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, and the leadership of the DKI DPRD signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Priority Ceiling Budget of the Temporary General Policy Budget (KUA-PPAS ) for DKI’s 2021 Jakarta Regional Budget.

The total RAPBD for DKI Jakarta in 2021 is 82.5 trillion IDR.
