Suara.com – Dandim 0505 / JT Colonel Kav Rahyanto Edy Yunianto explained the chronology of the brutal attacks by hundreds of people along Jalan Raya Bogor and ended with the destruction of the Ciracas Police Headquarters, East Jakarta, which took place on Saturday ( 8/29/2020).

He said the cause was due to the provocation that arose in the incident of Ditkumad member Prada Ilham’s accident.

Prada Ilham had a single accident at the Jalan Lapangan Tembak Cibubur red light intersection on Thursday night (8/27/2020). However, the incident spreads with a provocative problem.

“But the issue that comes up from irresponsible people is that the incident was caused by the beatings that caused it,” Rahyanto said in a written statement cited by Suara.com on Saturday.

Due to the problem of provocation, approximately 100 people got excited and started destroying several cars along Jalan Raya Bogor, in East Jakarta.

They also damaged the Ciracas Police Station and burned several vehicles.

“It caused approximately 100 people to be provoked, which resulted in the destruction of cars on the road and Alfamart to set fire to the Ciracas Police,” he said.

However, he did not mention that any TNI member was involved.

But on the same occasion, Pangdam Jaya Major General Dudung Abdurachman asked all Gartap I / Jkt unit commanders to bring their members who were proven to be involved in the brutal action.

“If any member of the unit is involved, the Dansat will take the member to Pomdam Jaya for prosecution,” he said.

Dudung also emphasized that no more members are joining Tri Matra’s short message group.

He advised the unit commander to put pressure on his members not to be easily provoked by savage troubles.

“Emphasize so that you are not easily provoked by news that is not necessarily true so as not to cause innocent victims.”

“The unit commander must also be able to anticipate if there is an incident like this, immediately investigate it thoroughly and give strict sanctions if any member is involved,” he said.
