It is based on projections from Decision Desk HQ, which have a 99 percent confidence in the count.

With this final result projection, Biden will become the elected presidential candidate for the 2020 United States presidential elections.

The former vice president of the Barack Obama era defeated current Republican opponent Donald Trump and ended the real estate mogul’s four-year presidency.

Biden’s victory was confirmed on Friday (11/6/2020) at 9:30 a.m. EDT.

The HQ Decision Desk projected Biden’s victory in the state of Pennsylvania, giving him 273 electoral votes.

A minimum of 270 electoral votes is required to win the United States presidential election.

The Associated Press has yet to project a Biden victory, although it is almost certainly a matter of time.

The Associated Press projections will provide 284 electoral votes for Biden plus the state of Arizona.
