The demonstration turned violent
The angry resident of Nusa Penida held a rally in front of the DPD RI Representation Office in Bali, in Jalan Cok Agung Tresna, Renon Denpasar, on Wednesday (10/28/2020) afternoon.
The demonstration turned violent when AWK was willing to go out to meet the masses to dialogue.
AWK admitted that he was beaten by several people and reported the incident to the Bali Police.
Sandhi Murti College elder I Gusti Ngurah Harta assessed that AWK as a member of DPD RI does not need to talk about religion.
AWK is also urged to apologize to the Balinese citizens.
“If he is medical and intelligent, he shouldn’t talk like that. The DPD shouldn’t talk about religion, he has to learn a lot and he may not like to read,” said I Gusti Ngurah Harta.
What AWK did, he said, insulted the sacred symbols that the Balinese people had.
“Because he is very offended by the abuse of symbols that Balinese worship. He says that a creature, although it is a purified figure, calls a creature, like Ratu Niang, Ratu Gede,” he said.

He claims to read the holy book
AWK also gave an explanation about his speech in the video.
He admitted that the statement was based on the book of the Bhagawadgita chapter 9 verse 25.
“It does exist, so what I really express is like reading a holy book. Right, it’s up to people to examine how it looks. There is a basis in the holy book, it’s just ordinary,” he said Wednesday.
He also assessed that his statement was not wrong, so citizens should not feel offended.
“We are open, if it is not clear we have a dialogue,” he said.

Explain about free sex

AWK explained that the statement had context.
Your comments are related to the high rate of early marriage, so it is better to use komdom when having sex.
“Because talking to millennials, yes, as long as you use condoms. The goal is not to spread HIV and reduce AIDS and not early marriage,” he said.
