Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

The atmosphere in the Capitol Hill Congress building in the United States is becoming tense. The masses of supporters of the president Donald trump collided with police officers in front of the Congress building on Capitol Hill, Washington DC, United States, after having entered by force.

It was previously reported that a woman had died when she broke into the Congress building.

Reported CNN Wednesday night (6/1) local time, the mass of supporters still surrounded the building. Meanwhile, the police tried to push back the masses.

Despite there being a curfew, supporters did not seem to want to leave the venue.

Police also threw smoke grenades at the crowd to disperse it. They keep trying to disperse the masses.

Meanwhile, Congressional leaders have been evacuated from the Capitol complex and will be brought to Fort McNair, according to a federal law enforcement official.

McNair is the closest military base in Washington, DC

Former Washington DC Police Chief Charles Ramsey said authorities must immediately clean up the Capitol building today and anyone who violates should be arrested.

“Whoever is in the building should be handcuffed face down,” Ramsey said.

On why authorities have been unable to secure the United States Capitol complex so far, Ramsey said officials may be coordinating.
