BOGOR – The Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Habib Rizieq Syihab laid the foundation stone in the mosque construction project at the Megamendung Agrocultural Islamic boarding school, Bogor Regency, Friday (11/13/2020). The laying of the first stone was carried out after performing the Friday Prayers in congregation.
Habib Rizieq in his speech said that the great mosque to be built could accommodate around 5,000 worshipers. The building was designed by a team of experienced architects who had designed the Indonedia Hospital building in Gaza, Palestine.
“The team of architects led by Faridz, who built the Indonesia Hospital in Gaza. Alhamdulillah, is very helpful there and there is no doubt that this team is a professional team,” Habib Rizieq said in his remarks.

The mosque, he continued, was made of two floors. The first floor will be a library that will store books in Petamburan in Makkah and the second floor will be used for congregational prayers.
“The second floor is parallel to the field. So if the congregation is booming, the field can also be used for events,” said Habib Rizieq.
In addition to the mosque, the 10-hectare Islamic boarding school will also build a media center, a guest house, a clinic, a madrasah, dormitories for men and women, as well as operational offices and clinics for a soccer field.
