LAMPUNG, KOMPAS TV – The joint team of the Lampung Police Headquarters and Regional Police visited a high explosive bomb mounting bunker belonging to a Jamaah Islamiyah terrorism suspect named Taufik Bulaga aka Upik Lawanga in Sri Bawono Village, Way Seputih District, Central Lampung on Saturday (12/19/2020).

The observation of the bunker location was carried out by the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police Headquarters together with the team and Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, the Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Kombes Regional Police Zahwani Pandra Arsyad (Pandra ) and the team.

According to Kombes Pandra, the bomb-making bunker was at Upik Lawanga’s house. Residents were unaware of the bunker because their home was far from the main road, about 5 kilometers from Jalan Raya Seputih Banyak.

The location of the suspect’s home, Pandra said, must trace the village road and is located on the edge of a rice field. Upik Lawanga’s house, which has brick walls, is known to be away from the crowd.

“The location of the house of suspect Upik Lawanga is away from the crowd. The distance to the nearest neighbor is about 100 meters,” Kombes Pandra was quoted as saying on the Tribratanews.polri.go.id page on Sunday (12/20/ 2020).
