The aftermath of the TNI beatings in Bukittinggi, HOG SBC Setop Touring Sumatra

Members of the large motorcycle club (moge) Harley Owners Group Siliwangi Bandung Chapter (HOG SBC) caused a stir in Buktitinggi, West Sumatra by joining two TNI soldiers from Kodim 0304 / Agam. The moge club also stopped their touring activities on the island of Sumatra.

HOG SBC Epriyanto Public Relations said that they initially held the ‘Long Way Up Sumatra’ touring activity on the Bandung-Padang-Sabang-Medan route. The activity was temporarily suspended after the incident.

“The ‘Long Way Up Sumatra’ touring activity that took the Bandung-Padang-Sabang-Medan trip. We stopped it considering the incident yesterday afternoon,” Epriyanto said when contacted on Sunday (11/1/2020).

It is not yet known whether tourism activity will resume or not. Certainly, according to Epriyanto, the Moge HOG SBC club first respects the current legal process.

“This is to respect the ongoing legal process and also respect the parties, both the victims and the institutions where the victims served (TNI),” he said.
