Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya investigators said an invitation to clarify was sent to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan because his statement was necessary in an investigation into the crowd at Habib Rizieq Shihab’s (HRS) residence on Saturday for the night (11/14/2020).
“Investigators believe the governor’s statement is needed,” said Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Tubagus Ade Hidayat at Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday (11/16/2020).
Tubagus explained that one of Anies’s statements that investigators needed was the state of Jakarta at the time the crowd-provoking activity took place.
“What was the status of DKI when the activity took place? What was PSBB? Is it a temporary PSBB? Is there no PSBB? Why?” added.
He further explained that one of the materials that was planned to be investigated was article 93 of the Quarantine Law and one of the parties with jurisdiction related to this material was the governor.
“Who can answer this? One of them is the governor, plus other questions like efforts and others,” Tubagus said.
Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday (11/18/2020), cleared 14 witnesses about the crowd on Saturday night (11/14/2020) in Petamburan, Central Jakarta.
The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, was one of the parties summoned by Polda Metro Jaya regarding this activity.
The figure of the HRS Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) will also be cited by the police investigator for clarification because his son’s marriage coincided with the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday in Jalan Petamburan.
In addition, the researchers also summoned neighborhood and community associations (RT / RW), security guards or linmas, local village and sub-district chiefs, and the mayor of Central Jakarta.
Clarification will also be sought from the KUA, including the Covid-19 Working Group, the DKI Provincial Government Legal Office, and several guests who attended. The event was attended by about 7,000 people.
