JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The head of the Covid-19 Task Force, Doni Monardo, said that the provincial government of DKI Jakarta has never issued a permit to hold a wedding reception for Sharifa Najwa Shihab, the daughter of the leader of the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI ) Rizieq Shihab in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (11/15/2020).

“DKI Provincial Government has never allowed it, please pay attention,” Doni said at a press conference at Wisma Atlet Covid-19 Hospital, Jakarta, on Sunday (11/15/2020).

Doni explained that the mayor of Central Jakarta, Bayu Meghantara, had previously sent him to Rizieq Shihab.

The letter was related to a warning that Sharifa’s wedding reception should comply with health policy and not create a crowd.

The Covid-19 working group sent by the provincial government of DKI Jakarta has also received the letter.

“Once again so that there is no doubt that the DKI Government did not give permission from the beginning,” he said.

On the other hand, Doni reminded people not only to obey health protocols due to sanctions.

However, people in the implementation of health protocols must be aware at all times. Because the spread of Covid-19 is happening all the time.

“In the face of Covid-19, our awareness must be total, without ties. Because, Covid-19 attacks us, there are no work hours, or holidays, at any time,” Doni explained.

The Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) will reportedly impose an administrative fine of IDR 50 million on the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) and its leader, Rizieq Shihab.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin revealed that there was a violation of health protocol on the Prophet’s birthday and the wedding of Rizieq Shihab’s daughter on Saturday (11/14/2020).

Arifin added that his party had sent a sanction letter to Rizieq Shihab on Sunday (11/15/2020).

“Everything applies the same. The application of the Covid-19 protocol applies to everyone, there are no exceptions,” Arifin told reporters on Sunday.

In his letter, Arifin said that the violation he was referring to was the absence of a limit on the number of guests, causing a crowd.

“Anyway, any event that takes place when it conflicts with the Covid-19 protocol will be subject to sanctions according to the provisions,” said Arifin.

According to him, Rizieq accepted and was willing to pay the fine.

“The response (Rizieq) was good, accepting that we enforce the disciplinary rules. We have transmitted it and we have been fined and it has been resolved,” said Arifin.

According to him, the event violates the Regulation of the Governor of DKI Jakarta (Pergub) Number 799 of 2020 in relation to the implementation of the application of the Health Protocol law as Efforts to Prevent and Control Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid -19) and DKI Jakarta Provincial Governor Regulation Number 80 of 2020 on Implementing Large-Scale Social Restrictions in a Period of Transition to Healthy, Safe and Productive Societies.

On Saturday night, Rizieq Shihab organized a wedding ceremony for her daughter, which drew a large crowd in Petamburan.

He married his daughter, Sharifa Najwa Shihab, and also celebrated the Prophet’s birthday.

As a result of this event, Jalan KS Tubun was closed again, the event participants also filled the place.
