Task Force 88 arrests businessmen from Hajj and Umrah’s offices, suspected terrorists in Mojokerto

SURABAYA, KOMPAS.com – It is reported that Densus 88 team at National Police Headquarters arrested a suspected terrorist in Mojokerto Regency, East Java, on Wednesday (12/23/2020) yesterday.

The man in question is a hajj and umrah travel agent.

The head of public relations for the East Java regional police, Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, confirmed the arrest.

“That’s right, it was handled by the Headquarters of the National Police,” he said briefly via email on Thursday afternoon (12/24/2020).

Information received from the police indicated that the arrest was made at the residence of a man named Hanif Ali Bahost aka Abu Dayyan Bin Ali Muhammad in Pungging Village, Pungging District, Mojokerto Regency, at around 2:00 pm WIB.

The arrest of the suspected terrorist was led by AKBP Faisal Syahroni as Chief of Intelligence at Densus 88 Police Headquarters.

During the arrest at the suspect’s home, his wife and three children were also present.

In the arrest, Densus 88 also secured several belongings of the alleged perpetrator, namely a bow, 10 arrows, 1 machete, 6 machetes, 1 knife, 4 HP Vivo cardboard markings, and 1 suspect ID. Author.
