Semarang –
The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, was surprised that his office flooded this afternoon. Ganjar requested an audit of the source of the water that flooded the Central Java Governor’s office complex.
“I am in shock to wash flood governor’s office. It’s a little weird. I asked BMKG, the rain was quite heavy, I asked to verify where the shipment was coming from. It’s a bit strange because it happened today. I asked for some kind of water audit to come in, because if it’s from around here it’s not possible to be that big, ”Ganjar said while monitoring the Central Java Governor’s office complex, Semarang City, on Tuesday (2/23/2021) .
Ganjar admitted that he was surprised when his office was flooded because when the incident occurred he was on his way from Kudus Regency.
He had questioned the project to build the DPRD building in Central Java, which is located in an area. The DPRD Central Java building construction is right next to Building B, the Central Java Governor’s office.
Ganjar came to the project site and asked the contractor. He inquired about the embankment bordering the Building B area and the location of the project.

“In the water park can not be in the village area, it is impossible, there must be a blockade. It was discovered, the construction of the DPRD building. Because it turns out that between this building (building B) and the door there, which is used to the parking lane, even if the water passes, the position is already. It turns out that there is a small embankment closing between this building and the fence there. It was broken earlier. The embankment is actually very small, a few inches for the seat the fence turned out to have an impact, “explained Ganjar.
Ganjar also checked the canal water channel at the Dharma Wanita building and the At-Taqwa mosque in the Central Java provincial government neighborhood behind it. According to him, the canal is filling with sediment and there is garbage.

“Hard hits of high water discharge (flow) one straight, one turn to the right. The one on the right is not visible because the closed gutter is not visible, there are iron branches, there seems to be sedimentation. It turns out to be clogged. the garbage, hopefully it will run smoothly, “said Ganjar.
As previously reported, the Central Java Governor’s office area, to be precise, in building B and the backyard was flooded as heavy rains started from 16.00 WIB this afternoon. Dozens of vehicles were submerged because the depth of the water in the parking lot reached the thighs of the adults.
Various efforts were made, including drainage so water could flow into the ditch. About an hour the water started to recede and the rain had started to stop.
Not only the Central Java governor’s office complex was flooded, but also several points in the city of Semarang. One of them is in the Simpang Lima area.
