Jakarta –
Lionel Messi criticized Barcelona for the treatment of Luis Suárez. After Neymar, Dani Alves also supported Messi’s statement.
Barcelona sold Luis Suárez to Atlético de Madrid in the transfer market this summer. Blaugrana it simply removed it at a cost of 6 million euros from the bonus clauses.
Because of Barcelona’s new coach, Ronald Koeman, Suárez is no longer on the game plan. But the way the management released the Uruguayan striker has drawn criticism.
Suárez, who has been a mainstay for the last six seasons, has also become Messi’s best partner, just been sent off and was left adrift. Barcelona had tried to sell Suárez to Juventus, but ran aground due to passport issues.
It was this passport matter that caused Suárez to have legal problems because it was considered that there was fraud in the tests that he was passing. After the transfer to Juventus ran aground, Atlético de Madrid approached Suárez, but Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu initially refused to let him go there.
The series of decisions and steps taken by Barcelona with respect to Suárez has made Messi furious.
“You have the right to go in a way worthy of someone like you: one of the most important players in the history of the club, achieving important things both with the club and individually. And that they do not throw you out like you,” Messi wrote in his farewell greeting to Suárez on social networks.
“But to be honest, at this point there is nothing else that surprises me,” Messi said.
Dani Alves joined the comments, showing support for Messi’s criticism. The defender who defended Barcelona for eight years insisted that this kind of thing was not something new.
“Unfortunately, this is a truth that we have known for a long time. It is confirmed every year,” he wrote.
“It is not about winning and losing, we know that very well, it is about respect and they do not know it,” said the Brazilian.
Previously, the former colleague of Messi and Suárez who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar, also commented. The most expensive player in the world was ‘in awe’ by the way Barcelona kicked Suárez.
