Said also emphasized that the post-ratification of the Ciptaker Act remained the same, that is, denying. “We continue to reject (the Ciptaker Act) and we will continue to act in accordance with the rules and laws,” he said.

As previously reported, two leaders of workers’ organizations met with President Jokowi on Monday afternoon. The two union leaders who met with Jokowi were the president of the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation of Workers (KSPSI), Andi Gani Nena Wea, and the president of the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPI), Said Iqbal.

The ratification of the Ciptaker Bill itself was carried out through Plenary Session IV for the 2020-2021 session year which was held at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Monday (10/5) afternoon.
