SERANG, KOMPAS.com – Banten Governor Wahidin Halim decided to implement large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in all districts and cities of Banten province on Monday (7/9/2020).
The decision was made after considering the significant increase in Covid-19 cases in Banten.
Now, Tangerang City and Tangerang Regency are back in the Covid-19 red zone. Meanwhile, six other areas are in the orange zone.
“PSBB (Tangerang Raya) will soon be rolled out, and now applies to all districts or cities in Banten province,” Wahidin said of the official statement received. Kompas.com, Sunday (9/6/2020).

Before implementing the PSBB in all districts and cities, Wahidin coordinated with the Ministry of Health.
“Based on information from the Ministry of Health, currently the implementation of the PSBB is under the authority of the regions because they understand the area better,” he said.
Wahidin emphasized that his concern was proven.
There have been many violations and new cases of Covid-19 after community activities were relaxed.
“The uncontrolled mobilization of residents in other areas has an effect on other areas. And now so much is happening in Banten that it has returned to a high-risk area,” Wahidin explained.
The former mayor of Tangerang has appealed to the public to be more aware of the dangers of Covid-19. He also invited the public to apply health protocols.
Wahidin also called on all parties to implement Banten Governor Regulation Number 38 of 2020 on Enforcement of Discipline and Compliance with Health Protocol Law as efforts to prevent and control Covid 2019.

According to data from the Banten Health Office, Banten registered up to 3,000 positive cases of Covid-19.
In detail, 2,239 people recovered, 144 died and 617 patients were still in treatment.
